i’m a pretty fanatical list-maker. i find putting it all down on paper to be the best way to organize my thoughts, set goals, and in this case: channel my almost indecent enthusiasm for the fall season.
i hate the feeling of realizing i’ve forgotten to make something i wanted to make, or do something i wanted to experience, and then having to wait an entire year for the season to roll around once more. while i realize the “official” start of fall isn’t until september 22nd this year, i tend to revel in “autumn” from september through november.
so here are the items i have on tap for making the most of the fall season:
things to do/see:
decorate for fall - done
burn fall candles - done
see fall foilage/drive through the countryside - done
have a bonfire - done
read outside - done
go for a long walk - done
go to a pumpkin patch - done
go on a picnic - done
watch hocus pocus, harry potter and dan in real life - done
carve pumpkins (?) and toast seeds - done
go to oktoberfest or a weekend getaway in the mountains - done
go on a hike
watch football - done (gators vs. noles - gators won!!)
go apple picking - done
go to a farmer’s market - done
hand out candy on halloween - done
research thanksgiving recipes - done
paint nails in autumn colors - done
purchase a few new pieces for fall: boots, sweaters, etc. - done
practice gratitude - done
open the windows and be cozy - done
go for a walk on a foggy morning -done (ok, it was sunday...it ended up being a foggy afternoon.)
host a friendsgiving - or actual thanksgiving - done
